Anthropic enforces new billing policy affecting OpenClaw users

The policy shift follows a series of updates from Anthropic, beginning in January 2026, when they started to restrict access to certain technical paths that allowed users to exploit subscription loopholes. By February, the company clarified its terms, stating that OAuth tokens from consumer subscriptions were only valid for official Anthropic interfaces.
