This improvement is complemented by a 59% reduction in the published tarball size, which decreased from 43.3 MB to 17.9 MB, showcasing the team's commitment to optimizing both the agent workflow and overall user experience.

The recent changes also reflect a strategic move to streamline dependencies, resulting in a cleaner package shape and a reduced install footprint. OpenClaw's latest version, 2026.5.28, not only boasts a 15% lower peak RSS but also features a significant decrease in installed dependencies, down to 300 from previous highs.
